In the first quarter of 2017, myvaccines.ch developed a range of tools, processes and information materials to enhance individualised support for specialists.
-
iQey, an insurance card reader.
-
DATAVAC for specialists: specialists organise the sending of paper vaccination certificates to be put into digital form by the DATAVAC team at the University of Geneva.
-
Information for patients: Waiting room posters, flyers for patients.
-
Basic and advanced information for specialists.
-
Standardised processes with corresponding information and instructions for patients (More information here):
-
A)
The patient creates their own file and transfers the data relating to their own paper vaccination certificates. The specialist validates the vaccinations entered where necessary.
-
B)
The specialist creates the patient's file and enters the current vaccinations; the patient transfers the data relating to their own paper vaccination certificates.
-
C)
"Full service": The specialist creates the patient's file and enters the current vaccinations; the specialist also transfers the data relating to the patient's paper vaccination certificates.
As part of the 2017 specialist campaign supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), the foundation myvaccines team therefore decided that, in the second half of 2017, it would largely focus on practices that had already agreed to implement process C ("full service for the patients") in a private discussion.
The file is normally set up in this process with the help of the "
iQey" insurance card reader (or an interface to the practice software), with the data from the paper certificates being transferred either within the practice by an MPA or with the help of a service offered by the DATAVAC team that is designed specifically to meet the needs of medical practices (submission of copied vaccination certificates is free of charge).
As a next step, the foundation myvaccines team then systematically used myvaccines.ch to identify interested specialist users, whom they then contacted with information and a follow-up e-mail. myvaccines.ch also had a stand at various conferences and events for general practitioners and paediatricians, which allowed the team to directly interact with various interested medical specialists.
Further activities included a publication in the magazine "
PÄDIATRIE"
These activities make it easier for medical specialists to integrate myvaccines.ch into their existing work processes. These activities will be continued in 2018.
